Hello World!! It is a beautiful day!

Hello World, the sun is shining and it is a beautiful day here in Belfast! Restrictions from the pandemic continue to ease and life is slowly but surely returning to some kind of normality. So what better way to say hello when you cannot do it in person than with this lovely bright and cheerful, handcrafted card! You cannot help but smile when you see it!

I created this card using some of my favourite crafting supplies! The Hello die cut is from Kindred Stamps, I cut the sentiment in white card and layered it on black card, using Sweet Pops – these are fantastic foam pads that can be cut to size and are so versatile! An essential for any crafter!

Next I created the background to apply the Hello sentiment to – it was so much fun! A lot of my favourite coloured distressed inks were combined to make the colourful background. I built up the colour gradually, applying each colour in turn and then spritzing with some water to give it the finishing touches! When the background had dried I stencilled the water mandala from the awesome Sweet Sentiment range of products! I used a black distressed ink to really make it pop against the colourful background!

To bring the card together I added some white specs to the stencilled background and then I layered the Hello sentiment on top. I then placed the colourful mandala background onto some black card and added a little enamel dot by Gina Marie Designs and voila! A card that would make anyone smile!!!
