Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the wee donkey…
Is there anyone out there who isn’t watching Line Of Duty???? If you haven’t been watching you are missing a belter of a show. Add it to your binge list now!! You can get the latest episode on BBC iPlayer!! This show has fantastic characters and amazing character catchphrases! I can’t forget to mention the awesome scenery too, a lot of it was filmed in Northern Ireland. It has to be one of the best shows on the telly at the minute and there’s only one episode left!! Nooooooo!!!! What am I going to watch on a Sunday night and what other reason will I have to stay off social media to avoid spoilers??
Just when you think you couldn’t love the gaffer’s one liners anymore last night he cracked out “Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the wee donkey!”. Who knew he had that up his sleeve??? Some of his best lines in the show so far are “There’s only one thing I’m interested in …..and that’s bent coppers”, or “Mother of God”, and how could we forget about “I was beginning to feel a wee bit like the ginger stepchild” or one of my favourites “I didn’t float up the Lagan in a bubble”. He has even thrown in a little Ulster-Scots with ‘Houl yer Whisht’. Are there are no ends to this mans witty and sarcastic comments! Fair play to Adrian Dunbar for delivering these lines so well!
So of course this artist from Belfast couldn’t resist immortalising Superintendent Hasting into a clay figurine!!! With so many iconic statements and many with a Northern Irish feel to them, I just had to, and I think he’s one of my favourites!
I just love how he came together and I hope you do too!!! Do you want a one of a kind, straight talking gaffer from AC12 all of your own, then get in touch! Remember to keep checking out my Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest too! You never know who else from the team might make an appearance over the coming days!
